Youth Organizing for Economic Justice Panel Discussion: Community & Youth Organizing Series

Professor Lumumba Bandele will moderate a conversation highlighting three youth-led organizing efforts in New York City that are advocating for greater economic justice, as the city becomes increasingly unaffordable for young adults. Members of the NYC Youth Agenda Coalition will share their policy recommendations on housing, transportation, jobs, and food access. Representatives from the NYC Union of Students will discuss their efforts to secure justice in higher education funding. Finally, young people from Youth N Power will address the challenges faced by those transitioning out of the child welfare system and their ongoing fight for basic income support from New York State.
