Khadijah Frederick is a dedicated educator and nonprofit professional with over 25 years of experience in youth and community development. A native of Brooklyn, New York, she has built a distinguished career in both the public and private sectors, specializing in grassroots initiatives that empower marginalized communities.

Currently, Khadijah serves as the Assistant Director for the Business and Industry Workforce Training Center at CUNY City Tech in the Division of Continuing Education. She is also an Adjunct Professor, committed to fostering academic growth and professional development among students.

Khadijah holds a Master of Arts in Youth Studies from the CUNY School of Professional Studies, along with degrees in Liberal Studies and Human Services. She is a recognized expert in nonprofit youth development, focusing on best practices, policies, and procedures through a diversity, equity, and inclusion lens. In addition to her academic and administrative roles, she provides training and consulting for nonprofit organizations, helping to shape the next generation of practitioners.

Beyond her professional endeavors, Khadijah is an avid reader and sci-fi enthusiast. She is also deeply engaged in researching the global appropriation and commodification of African American Vernacular English (AAVE).
