CUNY SPS MA in Museum Studies student Deanna Witte-Walker will be co-presenting the session "Other Duties as Assigned: The Varied and Various Roles of a New Executive Director" at the New England Museum Association Annual Conference on November 17, 2021. Witte-Walker is the executive director of the Southold Historical Museum in New York.

Dr. Regina A. Bernard-Carreno, an associate professor in the CUNY SPS Youth Studies program, published an essay on the National Audubon Society website exploring the racial politics of birding.

Dr. Elizabeth Alsop, assistant professor and director of the CUNY SPS Communication and Media program, has published an article discussing TV procedurals and the drama series Evil in the Los Angeles Review of Books.

Two members of CUNY SPS will be featured at the 2021 Council for Adult and Experiential Learning (CAEL) conference this November. Jennifer Sparrow, associate dean of academic affairs, and Holli Broadfoot, experiential learning director, will give the presentation "Jump-Starting Equity Through Competency-Based Admissions" on November 19, 2021. In addition, Sparrow will be speaking on the panel "Imagining New Directions for Prior Learning Assessment" on November 18.

Vicki Caruana, Academic Assessment Manager at CUNY SPS, has published the article “Learning to Like Brussels Sprouts and Assessment” in the CUNY publication The Assessment Review.
