Jaynemarie Angbah

Dr. Jaynemarie Enyonam Angbah is a seasoned youth development professional, educator and systems change leader with over 20 years of experience serving youth, communities and families.

Throughout her career, Jaynemarie has embraced a pedagogy that is rooted in empowering young people and early career professionals to be agents of change. She has a proven track record of leading organizational change initiatives through creating operational systems and practices; executing innovative programming; and developing highly effective staff. Most recently, she served as the Director, Race, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (REDI) Change Learning Journey at Charles and Lynn Schusterman Family Philanthropies. In this role, she led strategic initiatives that strengthened the organization’s culture and reinforced its commitment to equity and inclusion. Jaynemarie has also held senior leadership roles within the Youth Division of The Children’s Aid Society and with Boys & Girls Clubs of America. Her research focuses on exploring the knowledge, motivation and organizational factors that limit the ongoing development and retention of early career youth development professionals. In recognition of her leadership and commitment to youth, Jaynemarie was named the 2014 Afterschool Ambassador for the State of New York and is also the 2018 recipient of Bucknell University’s Young Alumni Award.

Jaynemarie is originally from the Bronx, NY. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Bucknell University, a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from Lesley University, a Master of Education and Certificate of Advanced Study in Risk and Prevention from Harvard University, and a doctorate in Organizational Change and Leadership from the University of Southern California. Jaynemarie is an active member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated and the Urban League of Greater San Francisco Bay Area. She is honored to serve on the Board of Directors of The Fresh Air Fund; the Publication Board for the Current Issues in Out of School Time Book Series; and alumni advisory boards for Bucknell University and the Harvard University Graduate School of Education.
